Terms and conditions

Website Sales, Returns and Refund Policy:

At Kura Gallery we anticipate that you will be very happy with your purchase.
However, if something goes wrong we will do our utmost to remedy the situation and offer exchanges, credit vouchers and refunds as part of finding the best solution.

Returns and Refund Policy:

Goods may be returned if they are faulty or unfit for purpose as per NZ Consumer Guarantees Act. Kura Gallery reserves the right to repair or replace goods being returned in the first instance. However, if the item is unable to be repaired or replaced, we offer an in-store credit or refund if otherwise not satisfied.
Goods may be returned for exchange or credit voucher should the work not fit your expectation. However, such a return must be returned within 2 weeks of purchase in its original, as new condition and presented with the exchange card or other proof of purchase.

We are unable to accept items for exchange that have been returned in damaged or “not new” condition. Also, there are no exchanges on specially commissioned artworks or sale items.

Also note: The artwork materials and descriptions shown throughout this site are accurate to the best of our knowledge based on information supplied by the artists or their agents.

On-line Payments and Pricing:

All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include New Zealand GST. Prices do not include cost of packaging and handling, insurance or courier. We accept online payments by bank transfer and major credit cards.

Freight:

We take great care in packaging your taonga/artwork. If however, the product has been damaged in transit by third party couriers, please notify us within 48 hours of receiving your order. We will contact the courier company directly to resolve any claims. We encourage you to check and sign all goods received as we cannot be held responsible once the chain of custody is broken.
Please note that insurance claims must be submitted as per insurers requirements in order to process claim successfully.
International freight is sent fully insured unless otherwise specified.
National freight is sent uninsured unless otherwise specified.

In the case of attempted courier delivery recipients will need to work with local delivery agents to arrange re-delivery or depot collection.

In the case if returns / replacement / repairs: Customers will need to cover the cost of return shipping and the item being returned must be safely and securely packaged in its original packaging.
Shipping charges will apply for reshipping any goods back to the customer.

International Customs:

If we are sending to destination countries outside New Zealand there is a possibility that the destination country’s customs service may inspect the parcel and may charge import duties, quarantine fees or other charges. This is usually invoiced by the delivery provider on behalf of your local customs service. As we have no control over the customs and postal services in your country, Kura Gallery cannot quote on nor cover any such fees charged by your local authorities – please check with your customs service. Please track your items to make sure they are not held up in customs as non-response will result in return to sender after ten days.
